Portland's historic non-profit theatre always has a great selection of indie, short run, and even local fare on tap.

I think it opened before the first World War (~1915?) -- it's one of the oldest operating cinemas in the United States. Always has showings of Rocky Horror Picture Show -- really small, but the best selection of indie films in PDX.
