Man, just went to Silvertone last night and ordered the mac and cheese (based on the recommendations here) and was thoroughly unimpressed. I expected some quality cheeses and what I got was something fluorescent orange that looked like Velveeta!!! Anyone who voted for Silvertone simply must go to either the Publick House up in Brookline or Lucky's down on the waterfront. The mac and cheese at either of these places puts Silvertone to shame.
For "cheesiest" you would want to add artisanal cheeses to the basic mac and cheese. Personally, I don't go for cheesiest, I go for tastiest which IMHO = andouille sausage, asparagus and caramelized onions. But really, what more could you ask for -- it's fully customizable and you can't go wrong.
You get to control how much cheese you want on your mac and cheese, which is the best there. If you want a ton, request it. If you don't want very much, ask for just a bit. If you don't say anything, they'll give you a ton. I's also great for things other than mac and cheese. Their steak chops are perfect ad I highly recommend the meat sauce to all true Italian food-lovers. To drink, get chocolate milk. The best ever!!!!!!
