Great Park to BBQ & Swim

Okay everyone. I am having a family reunion on August 2nd. The park can be 15-20 mins outside of Boston(preferred) It cannot be one you have to make reservations for. There needs to be the ability of having a BBQ event and swimming is a must! Any suggestions?

Lexington is about a 20-25 minute drive from downtown Boston and the Old Res is a great place to BBQ (no reservations required) and swim. Swimming might require a day fee.

Don't know if they require reservations or not, but there's a million people there doing BBQs and swimming.

Constitution Beach is closeby in East Boston and great for families. Not sure they have BBQ pits, but you could probably bring your own?
