"As I grew up, I knew that as a building [Fenway Park] was on the level of Mount Olympus, the Pyramid at Giza, the nation's capitol, the czar's Winter Palace, and the Louvre — except, of course, that is better than all those inconsequential places."
- Baseball Commissioner Bart Giamatti
The first place I always tell my visiting guests to go is the Skywalk Observatory at the top of the Pru. Nerdy folks (like myself) love the audio tour, while it also gives those looking for their next activity a nice bird's eye view of all the major Boston attractions...so they can choose where to go next.
A summer afternoon an Faneuil Hall is the perfect way to encompass Bostonian culture at its finest. Street performers, restaurants, shops and over-the-top tourist stuff.
This place will keep your little ones entertained. Tons of stuff for them to touch and play with. Definitely an active place. Since it is down by the water, on nice days you can stroll around and cross the bridge into Faneuil Hall.
Everyone's heard of it -- while I don't personally get anything out of it, there are always hoards in front of the Hampshire House on Beacon. People also love the Fan-Hall location.
