I had a great carrot cup-cake at Petsi Pies recently. The frosting was obviously very good but I was blown away by the quality of the cake itself -- too many cupcakes these days are dry and overly dense -- this one was just perfectly moist and sturdy enough to go with the frosting.

Both locations are somewhat far outside the city, but they make fantastic cupcakes, muffins and even gingerbread houses around Christmas.
