Most authentic Chinese restaurant in Boston?

OK guys, I'm looking for the real thing here - none of that Panda Express nonsense please!

Fish with the head still on? Check. Shanghai Gate is a hidden gem in Allston with tons of authentic Shanghai-style dishes. I was actually turned on tho this place by a few obsessed Chinese friends. I can recommend the rice cake, XLB, and paradise chicken.

This is my favorite and a favorite of my Chinese S.O. The food is excellent and very fresh. You an get some special vegetable dishes that normally are not served in a traditional Chinese restaurant. I recommend the three dishes for $10 (think that's the price) lunch special. Be prepared to wait as the lines are always very long.

The cuisine is a little different than you'd normally find (Northern Chinese cuisine) but it is all very authentic and delicious. Great Lion's Head (pork meatball), Suan La Chow, Spicy Dun Dun Noodles and really good Wonton Soup.

Dim sum Sunday mornings! They have a great variety (go before 11) so you can try a little bit of everything. Get a bunch of friends together so you can order more!

Definitely the best in Cambridge. Probably doesn't match up with some of the best in Chinatown.
