I've been to just about every studio in the DC area, and while there are some talented artists at various shops (I have ink from some of them), by far the cleanest and nicest studio I've been to is Pop's Tattoo. Prices are more than fair as well, and their shop minimum is the lowest in the area. Check them out.

Pinz-N-Needlez is highly professional, very clean, and is owned and operated by one of the most amazing artists in the tri-state area. It is reasonably priced, and the staff is friendly and helpful. By far the best in DC.

Of all of my tattoos, Pop's was the best experience by far. A really nice shop with a great atmosphere, I'll definitely be going back when it's time for more ink!

If you want checkered tile floors, old flash on the walls, and some high-looking dude behind the counter who can't figure out how to help you, go to the other guys. If you want clean affordable ink professionally done in a place that's cleaner than most doctor's or dentists offices, and by people that treat you like you're the only one in the shop, go to Pop's. I won't go anywhere else.

I've seen the work that Jix Proof does and have always been impressed. They won Best of DC in '08 -- give them a shot.

I've gotten all three of my tattoos and my piercings there. Everyone is very cool, no attitude like the other places, and reasonable pricing. Plus, they work with you on your ideas. Love Jorge and Nikki.
