Where can I buy local artwork for my humble abode?

I just painted my room and want to hang up some great photography and/or paintings from local artists. Where should I go?

If you can wait a few weeks, Legends of Style is coming up at the Cyclorama. It's probably th best place to get original art by local artists. I went last year. It's a lot of fun to go and I even brought home some stuff by Fish McGill. They claim it's "Boston's Leading Showcase of Street Inspired Contemporary Art".

Brickbottom does open studios on a regular basis. You can find lots of bargain art there that is totally original.

Newbury Fine Arts might set you back a few grand, but it's original work from contemporary masters. Think of it as an investment. Safer than buying dollars.
