Where should I go for dinner on my birthday?

I am looking for a Boston-area restaurant to have dinner with my boyfriend on my birthday. I want to go somewhere quiet -- no singing, no cake or candles, no clapping. Suggestions?

Almost all the tables are nice and quite and they have some of the best food. It's totally a special occasion kinda place. The only down side is that it is kinda expensive, but you totally get what you pay for there.

This place is absolutely amazing. The food is fantastic... definitely wait for a private table with the plushy couches, well worth it and who can say no to belly dancers? i agree, it is expensive but absolutely worth every penny

Great special occasion dining down near the waterfront (next to the Aquarium). Very elegant French country-style menu. The most important aspect of any birthday dinner is the dessert! I'm in love with the cognac cheesecake and there are a number of other very unique options.
