Crumbs is my favorite cupcake shop in NY. The cake is so moist and there is tons of frosting. Some may frown on the overload of frosting -- and I would too if it wasn't so delicious.

NYC is getting to the point where there are just as many bad cupcakes as there are good cupcakes. Luckily, Billy's Bakery on 9th still makes the moistest, best cupcakes around. For those that don't know what to order, red velvet is the choice.

My friends, you need to hear me out on this one. Go to Sweet Revenge on 62 Carmine St. in the West Village. They have the best cupcakes---my fave is the Sweet Revenge, peanut butter cupcake with ganache filling. I will caution you however. You will become addicted. Great food and amazing service.
