China Pearl is one of the more popular dim sum spots in Chinatown. On weekends, the lines may stretch all the way down the stairs and out the doors. I wonder if people that go to Pearl have actually been elsewhere because I think it's pretty mediocre; definitely not the best.

In its defense, I will say that Pearl has the best steamed pork buns that I have had in Boston. The shu mai leaves a little to be desired (too tough and chewy) as do spareribs. Not awful, but there are definitely better options.
