we opened our doors on catorce de deciembre(december 14th) 2005. since then silverlake and people from all over LA have welcomed us with open arms. thanks for that, LA! you're awesome! and don't let anyone tell you different. the bar is reminiscent of its older brother in seattle, but with a definite silverlake, used to be a mexican tranny bar kind of vibe to it. everything in the bar was made by someone you know or might meet at the bar. the bar is literally stuffed to the rafters with artwork from local artists. like venice beach without the beach! or rollerbladers. the cha cha is a casual neighborhoody kind of bar, with a killer staff of dudes and ladies who will make you the best shot of well tequilla ever, but an even nicer patron. the local silverlake crowd is treated to a guest celeb bartender on random sundays. is that lindsey lohan making a mai tai!?! no! it's dale crover (the most amazing drummer that ever happened) pouring a double.
