The California Center for the Arts, Escondido is situated on a 12-acre campus in downtown Escondido adjacent to Escondido City Hall and Grape Day Park. The campus is comprised of a 1,523-seat Concert Hall, a 406-seat Center Theater, a visual arts Museum, art and dance studios, and a Conference Center containing meeting and banquet facilities. Groundbreaking occurred on June 22, 1991. Since its opening on October 1, 1994, The Center has attracted more than one-million visitors through its performing and visual arts presentations, events in the Conference Center, and education programs.

Truly something for everyone - I love that there are also productions for kids - it has been a great experience taking my six-year-old to the local theater. A beautiful entertainment center, free parking, reasonable ticket prices - with a great variety of performances.

Find a reason to visit the Center - it is beautiful and all the seats are great. Any artist should be proud to perform at a venue like CCAE.

It's hard to believe that a facility like this is available in North San Diego County. It is a wonderful place to see a variety of performing arts without driving to Downtown San Diego or Orange County.

I love attending the various programs
at the Center. It's comfortable, friendly, and there is always a lesson to be learned, mostly fun. The variety of shows is great.

What a great evening you can expect when you go to the CCAE! The parking is great! The volunteers go out of their way to be so very helpful.
They have a free performance program every first Wednesday of the month.
They always have a great variety of performers.
I vote for CCAE for a great overall fun time!

The acoustics and the seating, the choices and variety of performances, as well as the availability of the center for school/dance events for very little money is the finest I've ever seen.

Having the opportunity of being both a performer and part of the audience many times, the California Center for the Arts has an intimate setting and warm environment that fills the space between the performers and the audience for a truly magical connection among all. They have the best variety of shows and are not afraid to expose controversial topics. They are also the friendliest and the most helpful and offer a vast number of thank you's to their donors.

The California Center for the Arts, Escondido is in Escondido and offers great sophisticated programming to its residents. For instance we can see Dirty White Tuxedo Pants tonight and tomorrow. Where else?

I think the California Center for the Arts is a great place to enrich your life with some culture. It has a museum and two theaters showing a wide selection of different show for about 9 - 10 months out of the year. I highly recommend visiting the CA Center for the Arts, Escondido. You'll want to tell all your friends.

The California Center for the Arts, Escondido is far more than just a magnificent venue for live performances (concerts, theater, Broadway musicals, dance, etc.); the Center's concert hall and theater have been acclaimed as having the finest acoustics in all of San Diego County.
In addition, the Center's museum is one of San Diego County's premier showcases for modern and contemporary local, regional and national artists - many world-famed.
The Center's Education Department is involved in groundbreaking projects for educators and students, including a literacy- though-the-arts program in conjunction with the Escondido School system, Master Dance classes taught by some of the brilliant dancers who perform at the Center, and student concerts which 14,000 local school children enjoyed during the 2006-2007 season
