Immensely popular traditional Japanese street fare located in the Porter Exchange Mall. No sushi, but they have Japanese curry's, hamburg sets, salads and a host of other dishes -- beware closed on Tuesdays!

Cafe Mami is my single favorite place in Porter Square and maybe Cambridge as a whole. The Japanese "diner-fare" cuisine is really unique. They have things ranging from burger sets (rice, no bun), rice bowls (yaki-don), curry sets to whole fish (mmm mackerel) and seaweed salad.

Don't go Tuesdays, they're closed.
