Cafe del Sol Roasting started as a true grassroots, cottage industry responding to the community's demand for local, fresh, quality food products while protecting the environment and respecting the growers. Roasting for friends in 1988, the founder, Stephen Dunham, started roasting and selling commercially to local organic grocers, restaurants and coffee shops in 1990. In 2006 Vicki Mildenstein joined the ownership team and brought her business experience in real estate sales and event catering to the business. She especially adds enthusiasm and passion for quality food, Fair Trade and Organic principles and a vision for growing the company and communicating its unique value.
