At Brett’s BBQ there is only one mission in mind: Make the best food possible. We use the best available ingredients, cook the food to perfection, and serve you with friendly service. We never skimp. We’re not a chain or a franchise. We’re just 2 guys who care about food, and doing it the right way. We don’t advertise or send you junk mail. We simply let the food speak for itself. Our motto is” if it isn’t smoked, it isn’t barbecue”.? In order to achieve that authentic southern barbecue flavor, I have hickory wood shipped in from out of state and I smoke the meat right here in our kitchen. The meats are hand rubbed with my own recipe of spices and slow-cooked in the smoker for 14 hours. We finish it off with my own all-original Brett’s BBQ sauce made daily from scratch. In fact, virtually everything on the menu is made from scratch on site in the restaurant. Juicy, tasty spare ribs, tender beef and chicken, flavorful pork, meaty St. Louis style ribs, fresh salad, hardy appetizers, and gourmet bread pudding with a delectable whiskey sauce for dessert will delight even the most discerning barbecue connoisseurs. Our corn pudding and sweet potato fries make unique and delicious complements to your meal in addition to beans, cornbread, and regular potato fries.

What a great find this is. Their pulled pork is the best I've had for years. I haven't tried their ribs yet but can't wait. I love this new place that I found.

Talk about finger-licking good - this place has great food and a friendly atmosphere! Whenever we come to San Diego we make sure we stop there for lunch or dinner. We tell all our friends they have to stop in to eat at Brett's BBQ when they're in San Diego.

Fantastic ribs and delicious sweet potato fries. Even the hush puppies are amazing. Love the draft beer selection as well. Service is quick and friendly. Definitely the best BBQ in the San Diego area.

My husband is a big BBQ fan & raves about Brett's BBQ. I don't eat meat, but the salad is to die for... lots of goodies on it, and the FRIES are excellent!
The food is fabulous. I drive all the way from Lemon Grove (63 miles round trip) just for the pulled pork sandwich. And I never drive to LA without stopping at Brett's BBQ to pick up something to nibble on to get me through LA traffic.
They have the best pulled pork ever! My daughter who is a picky eater even loves it!
