I've been in most of BSC, and while the one I like the best is Allston, Watertown has the BEST personal trainers ever. Kristen is simply fantastic. Whether you want to take it easy or have your ass kicked, she delivers. Will never bore you and you'll see results is no time. There's also a small guy (sorry I don't have his name) that looks so innocent, but I've seen his workouts and good God... They are the BEST!
BSC usually has great facilities, but the Central Square (Cambridge) location is awful. It is way too overcrowded, there's equipment that is not working and staff that is not working. The machines, weights, stretching areas and locker rooms are all filthy while the staff stands around.
The location is great, but during normal hours this gym will take away your motivation.
It's too bad that this BSC is so poor compared to the others.
love it... good atmosphere to work out in... no fake people just standing around posing.
Specifically, BSC - South End, is the best gym in town. The place is friendly, clean and has large windows and high ceilings making it a place that is both fun and comfortable. I personally like their pool with the huge windows that let in all the natural sun light.
A real bargain when you look at all the classes offered, the pool and all the equipment. Friendly and well run. Love that they are affiliated with clubs in NY, Philly and DC.
The new Boston Sports Club at South Station is the best. The staff is friendly, there are many different classes, its in such a convenient location and they have the best swimming pool in town!
BSC has the newest machines. The gym is clean and spacious. They also have a pool!
Boston sports clubs provides locations for those at work and at play. Providing a network of locations and offering passport memberships, it alleviates the pressure of when/where can i work out?
Cleanliness, locations of facilities, newer equipment, Ezone machines, instructors, class schedules.
BSC is the best! It is always so clean and the employees are great. They are serious about working out! It is a little more expensive so it is best to join when they have a great promotion going on.
BSC is very convenient. It has locations all over the Boston area, so no matter whether you want attend the gym after work or on the weekends there is one nearby.
BSC has great cardio equipment (though definitely very crowded at peak times), but my favorites are the free fitness classes, the Express Line (weightlifting program arranged for you), and the excellent personal trainers
BSC-Watertown is a great place to workout. With state of the art equipment and so many options to choose from (treadmill, stationery bikes, stairmasters, etc.), you never get bored. The staff is friendly and helpful. It's clean and well-maintained. I highly recommend anyone living in the area to give it a try.
The cleanliness of the facility, the helpfulness of the staff, and the organization
