Centrally located in Detroit's Eastern Market district, Bert's is an unpretentious nightclub that highlights seating for 150, a great view of the stage, a bright and colorful atmosphere and a comfortable and relaxed outdoor patio.

I've searched the world for great jazz, a great bar and great atmosphere, and Bert's Marketplace is it - it's now my jazz home. Good soul food from Bert's Kitchen next door, great surroundings, friendly people - it's like getting together with friends with the bonus of insane music. You can't miss Thursday nights - The solid SBC trio backs amateur artists (singers, musicals of all flavors, poets...) that sure aren't amateurish in my books - and you can perform too: just put your name on the list and front an awesome band. Thursday nights is an unforgettable experience - but beware: it's addictive, and you'll have to come back for more...
