A "real" feel good shop. None of that "smell me" attitude you get from those other salons. A bunch of down to earth guys who treat their customers like a king..or "Queen" if that be the case. This shop doesn't need to have 4,5 or even six locations to get the votes. Which isn't fair by the way. Each should be judged individually. Great crew, great cuts and great atmosphere.

The Berkley Chop Shop is without a doubt the coolest barber place in town. Not just for the great head of hair a come out with, but for the respect they give you when they come in. These guy's really know how important hair is to a guy. Keep on cutting!

David has been cutting myself and my sons hair for years (we followed him from his last shop). His years of experience shows in his precision cuts. If he wasn't awesome I wouldn't have followed him. You couldn't ask for a friendlier crew either, Eric, Kyle, Bobby and of course Bossman Jason, they make you feel right at home, and that includes Roxie too! Best shop around.

A true shop!! I cannot tell you how many people have commented on my hair since I started going a few years back. David, Jason, Kyle.... they all do an awesome job!

The Chop Shop is the best! Friendly service in a cool, rock-a-billy, punk and even traditional (if that makes sense) atmosphere. All the guys do great cuts. And not just on guys but ladies and kids too. Alternative without the attitude! They make everyone feel welcome.

My son, who is 5,loves going into the Chop Shop for his hair cut. He thinks he is such a big guy when telling Kyle the cut and how it should look. Kyle listens very carefully and treats him like a little man. Everyone in there is great with klids! They are very patient and always have a treat for them when they are done.

As I was window shopping in Berkley I stumbled upon the cutest barbershop I had ever seen.Barbers included!After asking around almost every other person I met has gone or was going to make their way in.After such remarkable feedback I happily made my appointment,and let me tell you they stole my heart.I was lucky enough of a lady to get worked on by Jason.He is an artist with his hands.Dyed my locks the prettiest shade of red too!Not too mention a dream with my children.They will not sit still for any other man.Seriously,good music,good atmosphere,good barbers and genuine old school manners.They make the trip to the shop just the way I like it,fun and social.And I don't mind the compliments I get from the style either!Just listen to Morrisey's Hairdresser on Fire,song.You would think it was wrote just for them.

The Berkley Chop Shop is like an experience in time travel. Incidentally, I am not referring to the music, retro decor, and friendly ambiance (love the mid-20th century LIFE magazines!) which are worthy of mentioning. I got my hair cut precisely the way I like, and it was done with the care, attention, and customer service which I thought to be extinct. Kudos to Jay (meow!), Eric, Dave and the rest of the professional staff!

truly feels like a time warp when you walk in the door. nice friendly cool atmosphere, without a stuck up attitude. definitely a hightlight of the month, just chillin there. plus a great selection of vintage fashion and car mags from the 50's! nothing but complements on Jay's work from friends and family!

I've been getting my cut there for about 7 Months now. The place rocks the people are great and Roxy is a treat! It has to be the coolest shop around. Awesome music and a great atmosphere, just sit back relax and let them work their magic. It gets a bit busy at times but it's worth the wait.
