Beacon Hill Bar Guide
Created by: MarcusI
Everything in Beacon Hill has a crazy "neighborhood" feel to it. There are not many bars, but the ones we've got are pretty damn good. It could be a sticky night of hoop fever at BHP, trivia night at the Red Hat or post-work beers at 21st, any way you slice it Beacon Hill is an awesome place to live.

Beacon Hill Pub
On any given night, BHP can be on either extreme of awesome of disgusting. I'm pretty sure they have given up on cleaning the floor: it's permanently sticky.
They have every bar game imaginable -- foosball, pool, hoop fever, photo hunt, that golf thing etc. They only take cash and only serve you in plastic cups.
What a treasure. -
Red Hat
Red Hat seems to draw a ton of Suffolk students which makes for a fun atmosphere. The tale of Red Hat is the tale of two bars: upstairs and downstairs.
Upstairs is bright, cheery, where you would go to order food or sit for trivia; table service is good.
Downstairs is dark, dungy and definitely has the feel of a dive. You might see an awkward couple making out in the corner or a brave soul coming from upstairs to steal some popcorn.

21st Amendment
21st is across from the statehouse and draws the most upscale crowd of any of the Beacon Hill Bars. Don't get me wrong, it's not at all pretentious.
The food isn't bad and the beers are served nice and cold. The bartenders are always great (and smoking hot). -
Sevens
A Beacon Hill tradition and one of the most well known bars in all of Boston, the Sevens is a true neighborhood pub with possibly the friendliest collection of individuals ever amassed in a single bar.
It's a great place to meet people or just go to chill out. Beware: no spirits on site, just beer and wine. -
Harvard Gardens
Harvard Gardens is lacking in attitude or definition, but it is a reliable neighborhood bar that can accommodate your bigger groups. They've got big tables with service if you don't want to wait at the bar for a beer.
