Show details What's your take?Banjara Restaurant is named for the Banjara people whose Rajasthani homeland is near Jaisalmer and Jodhpur. However, the Banjara live and travel throughout twenty -two states of India, taking with them a rich culture history and distinctive individual aesthetic. They are renowned for their dramatically colorful dress, much of it featuring intricate embroidery, and magnificent jewelry. The Banjara people enjoy wearing their wealth, and proudly display an array of rings, bracelets and earrings. The songs, poetry and dance they have handed down through generations are filled with characteristics mystery, romance and intrigue. Extraordinary banjara embroidery can be found in some of the finest markets, as well as in museums and galleries throughout the world. We have created a menu of both classic and contemporary Indian dishes that uses spices in a more subtle way than often found in Indian cooking.
