This website serves to promote fund raising efforts for specific projects and continued restoration of the Historic Bama Theatre in Downtown Tuscaloosa. The daily expense to operate the theatre on a performance day is 69% of the rental fee charged. Arts Council staff, building maintenance and other unforeseen repairs diminsh any surplus funds. BamaTheatre.com was created by a group of concerned Tuscaloosa community citizens and theatre patrons who fell in love with the Bama's unique presence and atmosphere. It is only through the generous donations of others who realize the importance of the Arts in our world today can the Bama remain one of the preminenent performance spaces in the Southeast.
