Athan's European Bakery is an authentic cafe and artisan pastry shop. We believe we have brought a little bit of Europe to Boston. Our sweet offerings are handmade in our European style kitchen according to classic and traditional techniques. Our new bakery/cafe in Brighton 407 Washington St. 617-783-0313 also features a breakfast, lunch and diner menu.

The most beautiful selection of pastries and cakes, and each of them taste divine!!!
The cakes are fabulous, the baklava is divine and the gelati is to die for. Plus they make some damn good coffee! The Washington Square locale has a quaint old-world atmosphere with the new addition providing a larger cafe space suitable for a morning croissant or late evening cappuccino.
My daughter just returned from Boston. She brought me some Bak-Lava. It is wonderful.
I brought baklava from Athans to a party 3 years ago and people are still talking about how great it was. This place is heavenly!
Love coming here just to relax with friends over a tasty treat or to get a nice birthday cake for someone special. The cakes are delicious and reasonably priced.
