Founded in 1975 by entrepreneur Jake Jabs, the company has grown year-after-year to become one of the top furniture retailers in America and one of the largest privately-held businesses in Colorado. With eleven locations in metro Denver, Colorado Springs, Fort Collins, Glenwood Springs and Pueblo, American Furniture Warehouse provides quality, stylish and affordable home furnishings and accessories to customers throughout the state. American Furniture Warehouse is actively involved in the community and the company contributes time, monetary support and in-kind donations to hundreds of non-profit organizations each year. The company and Jabs have received numerous awards and honors including Colorado's Top Company Award, the National Home Furnishings Association Retailer of the Year, Colorado Easter Seals' Champion Award and Muscular Dystrophy Association Humanitarian Award, among others.

Great selection - amazing service. The sales staff was helpful, but the delivery guys were amazing! On time, polite, and they even assembled it for me! Great!
BEWARE. We bought thousands of dollars of furniture here and never had a problem until we bought a $1600.00 simmonds mattress. It has deep body imprints after just two months it hurts my back and I am unable to sleep on it. The customer service manager Jode Berraga told me to "stop whining about my mattress, it is considered normal wear for this bed" I told him that was unacceptable and he told me "good luck getting anywhere because I AM THE ONE WHO GETS TO DECIDE IF YOU GET A REPLACEMENT!" He is very unprofessional and he actually hung up the phone when I tried to get someone else to help me. I hope that this doesn't happen to anyone else. Now we have this expensive defective mattress that I can't sleep on. I never thought I would say this but we will never give them our business again.
American furniture has wonderful room settings for reasonable prices. Judy Flowers always takes good care of us when we are there, and wow does she know her stuff!

Usually pretty good prices, but hope you never have to deal with their customer service. I had a headboard that had to be replaced 3 times, the first was damaged at the warehouse, and they delivered it anyway. The second arrived, and was only half finished, the driver wouldn't even leave it. The third was the first again, half repaired....the last one was still not right, but the customer service department refused to take it back, and would only issue store credit if I returned it. So, I have a partially finished headboard (no clear coat on about 1/4 of it) and won't buy wood from them again.
Maybe not the highest quality but the best all around selection of good quality furniture.

This store is great for inexpensive furniture. Have to be careful of craftsman on their lines...most is MDF very heavy and very brittle. You can find nice pieces but searching is key. You definitely have to be sure that what you see on the floor is what you get at the door.

Excellent! All of my furniture comes from there. Price wise and selection they are above the more pricier stores. Hours are convenient. Staff are very helpful and professional.

I Love this place! I simply cannot justify spending thousands and thousands of dollars on a piece of furniture when I can find a beautiful piece at American Furniture for a fraction of the high dollar furniture stores. Did I mention that I Love This Place?
