This school teaches a style of martial arts that is practical and will help in your everyday life. I took the women's self defense class and learned so much. The teachers and students are very friendly and go out of their way to help. I would recommend this style and school to anyone. What a wonderful learning atmosphere they create that still has an element of fun :)

There are so many things that one can write to let the world know about this Academy that exists in Michigan. But the only way that one can truly appreciate this life changing experience that is available at the AMBROSE ACADEMY is to go & see for yourself. So i'm not going to write much more about this Academy. But let me say to all the people who read this, if you are able & willing to better your life in a mental & physical state. Then you really need to check out the AMBROSE ACADEMY. Especially if you live in Michigan, I myself live in California & wish that I could attend this ACADEMY with all the wonderful people who attend this Academy. So please don't take my word for it, get up, get out & go see for yourself. Then you too will be thankful that you found a new way to love & respect yourself & most of all a place where children & adults can make new friends & work together to obtain a better life for everyone around us.
Don't waste timing judging a place you know nothing about. Go see for yourself & then you will have the right to tell others about this life changing experience.

I have been training for a few years with a long break due to pregnancy and I love the value received there. I highly recommend Ambrose Academy. My 7 year old has just started and she has already gotten the basics down and I am excited to have my 2 year old start in a few years. Especially viable for women and little girls to learn simple effective techniques that work!!! Understanding how to protect yourself also manifests in overall confidence and the ability to adjust to varying situations. Would recommend to all!!!

The Women Self Defense Class is just wonderful, after taking the class I have more peace of mind. I feel its important for every women to be able to defend herself if she is forced to.

My four year old asks almost every day, " Can I go to my Kung Fu (Ambrose Academy) school today". When people ask her do you go to school? She always answers "yes, I go to Kung Fu school, it so much fun" Out of the mouth of babes!

I am not a martial arts student, but I've taken a self defense class here and the course they put on is the best. They actually let you practice strikes and kicks on real people (of course they are wearing lots of protective gear). They make it realistic. You come away knowing that you have practiced doing things (and not just pretending) that will help you in any threatening situation. Everyone there is kind, patient and genuinely wants to make sure you come away confident that you can handle yourself in any situation. Thank you.

Before I found the Ambrose Academy, the only martial art I'd ever studied was Tae Kwon Do. I was quickly converted once Sibok (then Sifu) showed me how easily he could defend himself against TKD punches and kicks.
I would still be a student there if I hadn't moved so far away.
If I had a chance I would enroll my children in Sibok Ambrose's school.
I wholeheartedly recommend anyone who is looking for rewarding martial arts training to check this school out.

I've been attending Ambrose Academy for about seven years. I was looking for a self defense program that works. Technically, what really wowed me was that everything that is done makes sense. Why is it, a certain punch is more effective, stronger, and more structurally sound than other types of punches? That was covered and shown within the first day!
Senior Instructor Rocco Ambrose is fantastic with his explanations. If you don’t understand a technique the way it's initially explained, he'll find another way to explain it so that it makes sense to you. One can see that an instructor who really cares about his students will make the extra effort to help you learn. The rest of the staff is equally fantastic in going out of their way to make sure you don’t feel left out or behind.
That brings me to another important topic, family. Everyone at the school (from staff to fellow students) is eager to help one another learn and grow. The atmosphere is positive and fantastic. It's a great friendly atmosphere and really is like a big family. I'm proud to be apart of this school and always look forward to seeing my friends there.

It is a self-defense system designed for only one purpose, practical street defense. No tournament sparing, made for real life. Rules, what rules? In life on the street it is all about making it home in one piece. This is what these people prepare you for as you walk out the door of this school. They truly care.

If you want a traditional martial art, you have come to the wrong place. If you want to know how to defend yourself and your love ones, and learn it quickly and have it for the rest of your life, even when you are old and gray. This is the place for you. "Wing Chun Do" is the BEST.

If you think that you hurt too much, have too many injuries, that you are too old, give this system and this Wonderful Ambrose family a try. It is not a tournament system, this is a truly effective self defense system that almost anyone can do. No high kicks. No 6 months of wax on, wax off(Karate Kid reference). I am over 50 with many physical issues and I am more capable of defending myself now than when I was in the Marines. I can also say that I have found a group of people who WANT to share their knowledge and will feed it to you as fast as you can absorb it. I truly have come to love this school and the people here.

If you are out in the wilderness and you find a piece of gold what do you do. PICK IT UP AND KEEP IT...!!!
That is what this school is like. Finding something worth having and keeping, and hopefully you can bless others with it. This school, and the art itself is the best that I have ever seen. You can actually pick up the art in no time and apply it in everyday life. Teaches you self awareness, body mechanics, how to avoid conflict, and most of all defending yourself. Vote 4 the Best = Ambrose Academy. ;-)
