Ace Wheelworks is on Elm Street right past the Shaw's Market in Porter Square. The store has three locations in the Boston area. We've frequented the store on Elm Street and it is a great shop. There are always tons of bike technicians in the back, and they're extremely helpful. Several times they've fixed a flat or tuned a chain for no charge. The shop is open 7 days a week, but can get extremely busy. Like most bike shops it's packed with inventory, so it's best to go off hours if possible. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 10AM-8PM, Saturday 9AM-6PM, and Sunday noon-5PM.

I went to Ace Wheelworks this past week for a much needed bike light. When I arrived at Ace, I had a time frame of just under 15 minutes before my class began. I thought I had just enough time to buy a light, and then rush off to my class. Despite the shop being extremely busy, a young bearded gentleman waited on me, asked if my bike was with me, and asked if he could attach the light for me, for no charge! He even put in the batteries. Ace Wheelworks made my day. I was right on time for my class! I strongly recommend Ace Wheelworks to anyone with a bike who appreciates customer service and speed.
Wow...cant say enough. They have pulled off the impossible time and again...from fixed to free and freeride...they have serviced them all for me quickly and rite. only time I had to back was my mistake but they hooked me up for being honest and truthful. wow. it really is worth every penny with these guys, cuz they'll back you up and they have always back up they're work.
The gang at Wheelworks has the classic triad of service "plusses" down pat -- they're friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Perhaps even more importantly, however, is that they are happy to help anyone who walks in the store without judgment regarding how nice your bike is, how cool your clothes are, or how much you already know. Big thumbs up for both Wheelworks stores!
Friendly, courteous service with knowledgeable staff makes shopping at ACE a pleasure, for a new bike, accessories or just to gather information.
I frequent Belmont (Ace) Wheelworks. They are without question the most competent bike store in Boston. From purchasing a bike to keeping it in tune to upgrading its parts, Belmont is superb...and always a pleasurable experience.
