5 Meals for under $5

Livin' cheap ain't easy. A $5 meal used to be no problem, but it's not that easy any more. I get sad when I see the price for a burrito go over $5 ($6 if you dare to add guacamole).

Tacos Lupita
While other burrito places jack up their prices, Tacos Lupita is still the place to get your cheap Mexican (Salvadorian) grub. I would suggest a chicken tamale with extra hot sauce. The burritos are also under $5 if you're really craving.

Moody's Falafel Palace
There is a good reason why this place is always packed at lunch. A tasty falafel or shwarma wrap comes loaded with tomatoes, onions, great hot sauce. Extra fees for add-ins? I think not.

Brookline Lunch
Insanely cheap Middle Eastern style breakfast menu (served all day). Get an hefty omelet loaded with veggies, a side of potatoes and toast.
Your Bill: $5 -
Cafe Mami
The normal menu is priced a little higher, but they have great lunch specials for $5 flat. Get the yaki-don (spicy sliced beef bowl).

Pinocchio's
Two slices of Sicilian-style tomato basil is hearty, filling, and delicious. The other slices are good too, but tomato basil is where to spend your money.

What other people are saying about this guide:
Moody's will charge you an additional $1.25 for adding hummus to your wrap.. Also, the plates even though they are over $5, they are almost enough for 2 people to share and also a great deal.
